 1. The first Collection & Handling Fee is waved and included with Breeding Fee. Than a Collection & Handling Fee of $200 paid by Mare Owner for each semen shipment thereafter. This includes veterinarian, Hodges Ranch's expenses, timing arrangements, semen collection, evaluation, processing, packaging, and handling. 2. Mare owner pays Shipping Cost for semen. 3. We offer a Disposable Shipping Container at $50.00 for mare owner for shipment of semen, this container is not refundable. Or Mare owner may supply own container. 4. Should mare not settle from the first shipment's inseminations, Hodges Ranch will provide additional semen shipments. Breeding Fee will not become due again. However, the Collection & Handling Fee, Shipping Cost, and charge for a Disposable Container (if mare owner has not supplied their own) will be charged for each shipment. 5. The Mare Owner shall notify Hodges Ranch before the approximate insemination time of the name, express mail address, day/evening telephone number of veterinarian/agent which the mare owner has selected to perform the insemination. After receiving notification from Mare Owner, Hodges Ranch will research the final shipping details and prepare the pre-shipping-bill. The remainder of the breeding fee, the collection & handling fee, the handling cost and container charge will then be billed and become due. Semen is not shipped unless this pre-shipping-bill is paid. 6. Hodges Ranch guarantees delivery of semen to Mare Owner's veterinarian/agent that is live, viable at time of arrival, unless damage accrues during shipping. Mare Owner's veterinarian/agent are responsible for proper timing of semen order, proper handling of the semen after arrival. Mare Owner bears all risk of loss or damage to mare whether by death, disease, injury, infection, or otherwise, and by any cause whatsoever, including inappropriate, untimely, or negligent inseminations, or failure of insemination. 7. On Transported Semen, live foal guarantee applies. Hodges Ranch does not pay for any normal pregnancy checks, palpation's or follicle checks for Mare Owners that do not board their mares at Hodges Ranch. The Transported Semen Season shall begin February 1 and close August 1 the year covered by this and Stallion Service Contract. 8. The Mare Owner agrees to have only the mare, which is named in this contract, inseminated with the shipped semen, covered by this contract. If Embryo Transfer is used this Stud Fee is due an payable for each. The Mare Owner will provide Hodges Ranch with a photocopy of completed and signed AQHA or APHA "Insemination Certificate" within 15 days from the last date of insemination. Mare owner will notify Hodges Ranch in writing when mare is in foal before Oct.1st. If no notice is given mare will not be put on association's stallion breeding report. Additional fees will apply if no notice is given. Hodges Ranch will issue a Transported Semen Breeder's Certificate to Mare Owner when all expenses are paid and upon notification of the live birth of foal.
